Long Beach- Koh Lanta

How to travel to Koh Lanta in Thailand

Koh Lanta is easy to reach from Phuket, Bangkok or Malaysia.

From Bangkok there are several one-hour flights to Krabi International airport. They operate from Suvarnabhumi International airport and Don Muang airport in Bangkok.

From Krabi it is possible to take the ferry that operates from November to April. Boats leave twice a day from Klong Chi Lard Pier, outside of Krabi town. From May to Oct, boats do not operate because of strong winds and high waves (monsoon season). However, the car ferries between mainland and Koh Lanta operates year round. Mini-buses takes care of public transportation between Krabi and Koh Lanta. It takes about two hours to travel to Koh Lanta from Krabi.

We do not have pick up service from Saladan pier but it is very easy to find a taxi or tuk tuk and it is only a 10 min drive to our resort. It will cost you around 50-100 bath/per.

From Koh Phi Phi and Phuket there are ferries leaving everyday during the high season, November to April. The first boat travels via Koh Phi Phi, the second directly to Koh Lanta From Trang.

Papillon Bungalows offer private transfer from Krabi airport to Koh Lanta but you have to book at least one day in advance, ask for a price request.
